Leadership 2013 Swap Card- Blowing Wishes Your Way

When we Stampin' Up Demonstrators get together, there is a bit of a tradition to try and "swap" card fronts so that we can all exchange ideas.  It's a lot of fun, and a bit stressful sometimes!  I always want my card to be awesome.  This time I had a great idea...but implementing it was NOT as easy as I would have liked.  I had a serious case of stampers block!

Here's what I ended up with:

I like it, but I don't love it.  You know?  That happens sometimes.  On page 33 of the Spring Catalog there is a super cute Sizzlit Die called Pinwheel that makes just that.  It's a great deal at $4.95 and of course I snapped it up.  BUT it isn't the most practical attachment for a card you want to send in the mail.  So I remembered the pinwheel stamp from the Make A Cake stamp set in the Annual Catalog.  I used that along with a phrase from the new set Wishes Your Way (#129153 wood, #129156 clear).  Then I punched the images with the new Petite Curly Label punch that is FREE with a $50 order starting on Tuesday and used some of the SaleABration designer series paper as well.  It's all backed up with an oval piece cut out with the new Ovals Framelits and then put down on a piece of Whisper White that is embossed with the new Cloudy Day folder (love that!)  So it's a nice colorful mix of new products and existing.

Colors are Island Indigo, Calypso Coral and Whisper White.

Have a great day everyone!

Trish

  1. That is a super cute card! What are we going to do when Calypso Coral isn't available? I'll be stocking up for sure!!

  2. Thanks Katherine! I agree! All the colors from that year are just my go-to colors. I love Island Indigo and Pool Party too! I'm hoping that *maybe* they will get added as last year SU said they might re-work the color families. We will know in June, right?
