September Card Club

Hey Stampers,

I apologize for the sporadic posting!  We've been travelling a lot AND I was chair person for a huge fundraiser at my children's school.  But that is behind me now and I look forward to showing you lots of new card ideas!!!

Here are the cards and projects that I did with my Stamp Club last month.  My club meets every other month and we have a blast making two cards and a 3-D item each time.  I always try to teach a new technique and this month it was "masking."

We punched out a window from a piece of scrap paper (using the 1 3/8" square punch) and attached to the base card layer with some temporary adhesive, then sponged with Daffodil Delight.  Then added our stamps from French Foliage-- one of my absolute favorite fall themed stamp sets!!!  We added the sentiment using of course, the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, and attached some base pieces.  Simple and lovely.  The technique was a big hit!

Here are the other projects we completed:

This stamp set cracked me up from the second I saw it in the catalog.  It's a hostess only set called Carry On and has lots of great sayings and images in the font shown.  I always feel calmer after eating a cupcake, don't you?  This was a case from a swap at the Chattanooga regionals.

This last project used the stamp set:  Full of Blessings from the Holiday Catalog.  I just love it.  We used the layered labels framelits and created a little package that can hold some candy, a lip gloss, or even be used as a place card holder at your Thanksgiving table.  Note:  We decided it looked better with the very vanilla piece turned lengthwise.  Not sure why I photographed the old one, but hey like I said it's been a crazy month.    We stamped the wreath image on very vanilla in early espresso ink and then colored it in using markers.  Stamp the sentiment in early espresso on a scrap piece and punch out with a 3/4" circle punch and back up onto a piece of pumpkin pie punched out with a 1" circle.  These are popped up using dimensionals.

If you have any questions just email me or leave a comment.

I have two openings in my Stamp Club starting with November if you are interested.......one in the morning and one in the evening group....drop me a line if you'd like to join us!

Trish
