Morning Stampers!
Oh I am really going to miss the Holiday catalog when it ends on the 3rd!!! I've been mentally reviewing all the fun we've had with this catalog and it's just too much to list.
Today I'd like to show you a couple cards that I made QUICKLY this week when I realized I had not made enough Christmas cards to go around :)
I made these cards using a the Simply Scrappin' Kit Merry Moments (#126911) out of the holiday catalog. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these kits. I'm not much of a scrapbooker, but when the mood strikes I love having these kits because everything coordinates and the card stock stickers are thick and beautiful, not cheap type stickers you can buy anywhere.
But I digress. Anyway these kits are also AMAZING for quick cards!! I just grabbed the stamp set Greetings of the Season (also holiday catty, page 8) and then also one stamp from Delightful Dozen (one of my all-time go to sets from the Annual Catty) and got to cutting and sticking. I honestly had 20 cards made in about an hour.
This one uses Delightful Dozens greeting and the rest is just stickers and paper!
I cut some pieces of DSP from the kit into flags and the rest was stickers and a stamp in Lucky Limeaid.
By now you are getting the picture. By the way the stickers come in three sheets of 12x12 and then for the long strips I trimmed them easily to card size with my Stampin' Trimmer (OMG do you have one of these yet?? It SO rocks...seriously it's my favorite tool in my cabinet....SO easy to use)....
You get the picture. Last year I had a huge class making these cards with the scrappin' kit and it was a bit hit. This year I didn't make the time to do it. But count on this class in the fall of 2013 as long as SU keeps making these kits. The kits are $22, and I got 20 cards out of it with tons left over....so in my book that is a terrific deal!!! I didn't add any extra embellishments because they needed to be mailed flat....but you certainly could step them up a bit with some ribbon and brads for extra oomph!
Tomorrow I will show you some gift tags made with another set that is retiring...oh how I will miss it too!!! I'm also working with some new items and will show you a sneak peak soon. Out with the old and in with the new!!!
Trish
